Oman has announced plans to build the country’s first mosque using 3D printing technology. Innotech Oman, a leader in 3D-printed construction, is teaming up with Oday Architecture to bring the vision to life in Dhofar Governorate. The mosque will feature modern sustainability features, including energy-harvesting systems that capture motion, wind, and solar power.
The design takes inspiration from a spiral ribbon, creating shaded pathways and layered green spaces that invite both contemplation and community. Its oval-shaped prayer hall will be bathed in natural light through a central oculus, adding a symbolic touch of divine illumination.

Dr. Al Ghassani from Dhofar Municipality explained that the project reflects the Governorate’s ambition to create urban spaces that honor Islamic identity while embracing sustainability. The surrounding landscape will feature salt- and wind-resistant plants, making the mosque both beautiful and environmentally conscious.
The trend for 3D-printed constructions keeps growing in the Gulf region.
