The tram operates without fixed tracks, following virtual routes using optical navigation, GPS, and LiDAR.

- Capacity up to 300 passengers
- Operational speeds from 25 to 60 km/h, with a top speed of 70 km/h
- Fully electric, with single-charge range of up to 100 km
The tram will initially be deployed at eight locations in Dubai. Unlike traditional trams, it runs on virtual tracks, guided by cameras that follow painted lines on dedicated lanes. The Trackless Tram will integrate with Dubai’s existing advanced public transport network.
