If you’re a regular visitor to Palm Jumeirah, there’s an important change coming to one of Dubai’s most iconic neighbourhoods. Paid parking is being introduced along the Palm Jumeirah Crescent, so drivers will soon need to pay to leave their car in this prime spot.
The rate will be AED 10 per hour for on-street spaces. You can pay either through your Salik account or by sending an SMS, following the instructions on the signs placed along the streets.
If you live in Dubai, there are more similar changes you need to know about. Paid parking has already been introduced in areas like Discovery Gardens and International City. And if you’re a regular at Spinneys and Waitrose, some locations now offer only two hours of free parking.
