If you’re planning to use public transport in Dubai during the long Eid Al Fitr weekend, there are some important changes to keep in mind. The Dubai Metro, tram, and buses will all follow adjusted schedules from March 18 to March 22, as the UAE observes its public holiday marking the end of Ramadan.
Here’s a quick look at the new timings to help you plan ahead.
Dubai Metro will operate on extended hours during the holiday period:
- March 18 to 21: Red and Green Lines will run from 5 AM until 1 AM the next day
- March 22: The Metro will operate from 8 AM until 1 AM on Monday

Here’s the Dubai Tram schedule:
- March 18 to 21: The tram will operate from 6 AM to 1 AM the following day
- March 22: The tram will run from 9 AM to 1 AM on Monday
If you’re relying on buses, there are a few updates you should know:
- Intercity bus Route E100 will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from Wednesday afternoon, March 18, until March 22
- The E101 service will operate from Ibn Battuta Bus Station during this time
