If you’ve ever wandered through Alserkal Avenue during art week and wished it lasted longer, you’re getting your wish this year. For five weekends, from April 18 to May 18, Al Quoz fills with exhibitions, talks, performances, and workshops over five weekends. Here’s a first look at what’s coming.
April 18: Opening weekend
On the first weekend, 16 gallery exhibitions open at once.
Anthony Akinbola’s solo exhibition at Carbon 12 opens on April 18 and remains on view until May 24.
At the same time, a new public artwork by Shilpa Gupta Still A Sky We Hold will appear in The Yard.

April 25 to May 8: Déjà vu at Concrete
This group exhibition featuring artists from 18 UAE-based galleries show looks at repetition and the feeling of reliving the same moments.
May 12 to May 17: Closing programme with Art Dubai
On May 16, Alserkal Advisory hosts a roundtable with arts organisations and institutions across the UAE, focusing on how arts spaces connect with communities.
Moving, a four-day programme created with Art Dubai, screens continuously in The Yard and at Madinat Jumeirah.

Throughout the month: Workshops and takeovers
Blank Space introduces emerging creatives in design, craft, music, and visual arts through a series of takeovers. You’ll also find workshops, reading groups, open studios, and live performances throughout the month.
New details are shared every Monday on Alserkal Avenue’s Instagram. If you’re planning a visit, make sure to check the updates.
More Art Events and Exhibitions in Dubai
There’s plenty more happening in the city. Don’t miss the art exhibition at Noor Royal Gallery featuring paintings made from real petroleum, with some works priced up to AED 50,000. If you’d rather be outdoors, DIFC Art Nights return this April with open-air installations, live art, and a more casual way to explore the artworks.
