If you think you’ve seen all the corners and galleries of Louvre Abu Dhabi, here’s a new area now open to visitors for a limited time: its majestic dome. The 7,000-ton structure is now accessible as part of a new guided tour, held every Saturday.

The experience takes you through different parts of the museum before the final stop: walk inside the dome. Along the way, the guide explains how the structure was built, what creates the special light effect, and why the design looks the way it does.

Louvre Museum, Abu Dhabi

The Louvre Abu Dhabi dome is made of 85 large steel elements, and the route takes you through the space between them. You walk along its curve, seeing the structure up close and how the light filters through from above.

  • Time: 10:30 AM for individuals, 4:30 PM for groups
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Stops: Seven locations across the museum

Tickets for this tour cost AED 170, and museum admission is not included. You can book your Louvre Abu Dhabi entry ticket separately below.

Also at Louvre Abu Dhabi right now: big Picasso exhibition is on display until the end of May, and your entry ticket includes access to it.
