Trying to hit your step goal in Dubai isn’t always easy when most days look like taxi to the mall and straight back home. Whether you’re aiming for 10K steps or just trying to move more, the trick is picking a route that makes you want to keep walking.
Here are a few scenic spots where your step count builds up without feeling like effort.
1. Al Marmoom Oasis
Tree-lined paths, a clear lake, and wildlife along the way make it easy to stay out longer than planned. You’ll rack up steps without needing to keep checking your phone.
If you want to take it further, you can book a horse riding experience (transfer included), or go for an evening luxury heritage safari that ends with a three-course dinner.
2. Al Seef to Al Fahidi
Start near Canopy by Hilton in Al Seef and follow the Creek. It’s a great walking route to see how modern architecture gives way to more traditional surroundings. By the time you reach Al Fahidi Historical District, you cover a decent distance without even noticing.
3. Hatta Sign hike
The full route is 7.3 km and takes around 2.5 hours, starting and ending at Hatta Wadi Hub. Expect steep sections, shorter route options, and a step count that climbs fast.

4. Marsa Boulevard
Creekside views, a steady breeze, and plenty of cafés along the way make it easy to keep moving. You’ll probably walk more than planned.
If it’s been on your list, now’s the time to go. Marsa Boulevard pop-up wraps up on May 3.
5. Mushrif Park
The 10 km trail passes through shaded areas with bridges, stairways, sculptures, and artworks along the way. You can bring your pet along and do your steps together. If 10 km feels like too much, you can take a shorter route.
If you’re ready for something faster-paced, here are a couple of running events in the city you can join this May: Community Race in Jumeirah and DXB Snow Run 2026.
