If you like exploring new art, there’s a future stop you’ll want on your list: SAMoCA Riyadh. The name stands for Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art, and it will be located in Diriyah, right along Grand Avenue.

SAMoCA will span more than 77,000 sqm, with space for large exhibitions, walk-through installations, and open areas where visitors can move freely rather than follow a fixed path.

The collection will include contemporary work from Saudi artists, alongside regional and international pieces. It will also host workshops and educational programmes, so the visit can go beyond exhibitions.

If you love museums, you can now explore Saudi Arabia’s oil story at Black Gold Museum.

No opening date for SAMoCA has been announced yet.

The museum is part of a much larger transformation happening in Diriyah. The district will soon include an opera house, a Trump-branded hotel and residences with golf, Armani Residence, Four Seasons Hotel, retail spaces, and cultural venues, all built to turn the area into a destination people travel for.

And getting there should be easier in the future, with Riyadh Metro expanding toward Diriyah.
