Pulling into a mall and seeing a parking spot reserved for people of determination (PoD) means one thing: the space is available for the people who truly need it. Parkin is putting more focus on making sure the rules are respected. Now, PoD parking spaces are being monitored more closely at six Dubai malls.

You won’t see patrols or people supervising the area. The system uses Licence Plate Recognition (LPR), where cameras scan licence plates as cars move through the parking area. If a PoD space is used incorrectly, the system picks it up right away. Everything is tracked in real time, without needing manual checks.
Parkin will issue and validate fines when misuse happens, and manage customer feedback and disputes related to violations.
