If your idea of a good evening includes vintage treasures, old collectibles, and coffee in a hidden spot, Kuwait has a new place to add to your list. Shuwaikh Market has reopened this May, but it looks completely different from the original version many people remember. Now, its focus is entirely on antiques and vintage finds.
The new market concept was created by antique shop Sika 86, which belongs to a mother and daughter who collect antiques and vintage pieces during their travels.
Right now, the market has two main sections. The first area is an open courtyard lined with antique shops on both sides. You’ll also find a specialty coffee café and a traditional old-school coffee shop.
The second section is still under construction and not open yet, but it’s expected to become a large warehouse area with even more vintage vendors and stores.
One of the best parts about this place is the atmosphere. The ,arket is hidden behind an unmarked blue gate in the industrial area, which makes the visit so special once you find it. You can find Shuwaikh Market location on the map below.
You can visit it daily from 5 PM to 10 PM. For all details, visit @sika86.kw.
