If you live in or pass through Dubai Science Park often, there’s a new mosque now open in the area. The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has inaugurated Al Bashaer Mosque in Al Barsha South 2.

The structure follows a local architectural style inspired by traditional Emirati heritage.

The mosque can accommodate up to 600 worshippers, including space for 540 men and 60 women. IACAD also included several service facilities inside the mosque complex, including residences for the imam, muezzin and support staff.

Visitors will also find:

  • Washing and ablution areas
  • Water coolers
  • Dedicated facilities for People of Determination

Earlier this year, Dubai also welcomed a new mosque in Al Muhaisnah 2 with capacity for almost 1,700 worshippers.

Another groundbreaking mosque project is also coming to the city, and you may want to check it out: Dubai will soon get its first 3D-printed mosque.
