Choosing where to eat in Dubai is about to get even harder. This September, a well-known restaurant from London will open in DIFC. If Indian food is your go-to, Gymkhana is the name to remember.
The London restaurant has earned two Michelin stars, so you already have an idea of what to expect in Dubai.
The restaurant takes its name and design inspiration from the gymkhana clubs of colonial India, private social clubs where members met for meals, drinks, and sports.

Gymkhana Dubai will have two dining spaces, each with its own look and feel:
- the ground floor with soft lighting, textured details, and comfortable seating
- the lower level with reflective ceilings, elegant chandeliers, and a peacock bar
The menu includes classic Indian dishes such as biriyanis, curries, kebabs, sabzis, and tikkas. Signature dishes include Chettinad Duck Dosa with Coconut Chutney, Kid Goat Methi Keema with Salli and Pao, and Wild Muntjac Biryani.

If that already sounds tempting, you’ll have to wait until September when the restaurant opens in DIFC.
Gymkhana also has a branch in Riyadh.
