One of Abu Dhabi’s most celebrated Italian eateries finally arrived to Dubai. Antonia, known for its signature Roman-style pizza and family-driven concept, has opened its first branch in the city at Mall of the Emirates, taking over the space previously occupied by Black Tap near the cinema.
Already a hit in Al Maryah Island, Al Zeina, and Mamsha Al Saadiyat, Antonia has carved out a name for itself thanks to its casual charm, high-quality ingredients, and distinctive Pizza al Taglio — the traditional Roman way of serving pizza by the rectangular slice, often eaten by hand.

At the helm is Chef Simone Federici, whose culinary journey started at age 13 under the guidance of his grandmother, Antonia. After years of experience in Italy, the Caribbean, and Miami, he brought his interpretation of Italian comfort food to the UAE — and it’s rooted in family tradition.
The star of Antonia’s menu is the dough itself. Made using a 50-year-old sourdough starter passed down from Grandma Antonia and fermented for 72 hours, the result is a light, crisp, and easy-to-digest crust that supports a range of bold toppings.

But there’s more than pizza. The menu also features antipasti, handmade pasta (including gluten-free options), fresh salads, and traditional Italian desserts, all served in a laid-back, no-fuss setting that reflects the brand’s Roman roots.
Antonia Dubai is now open at Level 2 of Mall of the Emirates and welcomes guests daily from 11:30 AM to 11 PM.
