Stormzy, born Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., burst onto the scene in 2017 with his groundbreaking debut album Gang Signs & Prayer, which became the first grime album to top the UK charts. The critically acclaimed record earned him the British Album of the Year award at the 2018 Brit Awards. His follow-up album, Heavy Is The Head (2019), solidified his superstar status, hitting number one on the UK charts and amassing over a billion streams globally. Tracks like “Vossi Bop,” “Crown,” and “Own It” featuring Ed Sheeran have become anthems, showcasing his versatility and lyrical prowess.

This won’t be Stormzy’s first time in the UAE. He’s performed at major events like the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concerts and headlined RedFest DXB in 2020, wowing audiences with his energy and charisma. His return for the Emirates Dubai 7s promises to be bigger and better, with a stellar lineup of international and local talent expected to join him on stage for a weekend of thrilling entertainment.
