It looks like Big Mamma Group is getting ready to make its Dubai debut. Known for creating some of the most talked-about Italian restaurants in cities like London, Paris, and Madrid, the French-based hospitality group is now setting its sights on the UAE — marking its first-ever expansion outside of Europe.

While the exact location and concept haven’t been confirmed yet, a recent LinkedIn job post for a Head of Communications role revealed that a Big Mamma restaurant will be opening in Dubai. Interestingly, the post also hints that more than one concept might be on the way, though further details are still under wraps.

Big Mamma currently operates 28 restaurants across seven countries in Europe — including the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Monaco, Belgium, and Italy. The brand is widely recognised for its bold interiors, theatrical dining experiences, and Italian trattoria-style menus that lean into big flavours and even bigger portions.

Whether Dubai will get one of these existing venues or something entirely new remains to be seen. What’s clear is that the city’s restaurant scene continues to draw attention from top global names. It’s shaping up to be a busy year for new arrivals — and Big Mamma’s Dubai chapter is one to keep an eye on.
