Dubai is taking a big step forward in child welfare. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has approved a new protocol aimed at keeping children safe and ensuring their well-being at every stage of life.

The Dubai Child Protection Protocol, backed by the Executive Council of Dubai, is designed to create a strong, well-connected system of support for children and families. It covers everything from prenatal care and birth registration to early childhood services, school-age support, youth development, and even pre-marital counseling.

A key focus of this initiative is early intervention — making sure children get the help they need before problems escalate. The protocol also includes specialized training for social workers, ensuring they have the skills to support vulnerable children effectively.

To make this system work, Dubai is improving cooperation between major government agencies. Dubai Police, the Community Development Authority, Dubai Public Prosecution, Dubai Courts, and the Dubai Health Authority will work together more closely to provide faster and better support for children in need.

With this new approach, Dubai is reinforcing its commitment to child welfare, making sure kids grow up in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment — both at home and in the community.
