Metro Etiquette: Be Courteous and Respectful

While fines may be an unfortunate result of non-compliance, much of the Dubai Metro experience can be improved with simple etiquette. Here are a few common courtesies that won’t cost you anything:

  • Respect personal space
  • Let passengers off the train before boarding
  • Help prevent congestion by staying to one side when waiting
  • When entering the train, move all the way to the back to make space for others

By following these simple rules, passengers can help ensure that the Metro remains a comfortable, efficient, and enjoyable experience for everyone. For those who are looking ahead to future transport innovations in Dubai, be sure to keep an eye on flying taxis coming to the city next year!

Also, RTA recently announced another innovative project coming to the city’s streets: trackless tram, which will be following virtual routes.
