Dubai residents have even more reasons to celebrate the UAE National Day this year, with free parking announced across the city for the holiday period. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) confirmed that public parking will be complimentary on Monday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 3, excluding multi-storey parking facilities. With no parking fees charged on Sundays, this creates a convenient three-day free parking window for residents and visitors.
This announcement coincides with the UAE’s 53rd National Day, now officially known as Eid Al Etihad, which commemorates the unification of the Emirates in 1971. Both public and private sector employees will enjoy a four-day weekend, with December 2 and 3 declared as paid holidays.
Schools, nurseries, and universities in Dubai will also observe the holiday break, resuming normal schedules on Wednesday, December 4.
With four days of festivities, including parades, concerts, and fireworks, this long weekend offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich culture and unity that defines the UAE. Don’t forget to take advantage of free parking to simplify your plans and make the most of this special occasion.
