Get ready to plan your holiday because UAE has officially announced the Eid Al Fitr 2025 holiday dates for private sector employees!

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has confirmed that the private sector in the UAE will enjoy a paid holiday from Sunday, March 30, to Tuesday, April 1. However, if the month of Ramadan extends to 30 days, the holiday will be extended by an additional day, making Wednesday, April 2, a day off as well.

This announcement follows an earlier declaration regarding public sector holidays. According to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), federal employees will observe their Eid Al Fitr holiday from the 1st to the 3rd of Shawwal 1446 AH, with work resuming on the 4th of Shawwal. If Ramadan lasts for a full 30 days, the 30th of Ramadan will also be considered a public holiday, further extending the break.

Stay tuned for official moon sighting updates, which will determine the exact dates of Eid Al Fitr and confirm whether the additional holiday will be granted. Until then, get ready to make the most of this festive season!
