A new chapter in the UAE’s cultural story has begun. The UAE National Orchestra (UAENO) makes its debut in 2026 with a series of performances across the emirates. One of the biggest initiatives of the year, this project brings a unique style to classical music performances. Featuring professional musicians and national instruments like the oud and qanun, the orchestra promises an exceptional, never-before-seen experience for music lovers across the country.
Here’s everything you need to know about UAENO and its debut season.
About the UAE National Orchestra: History and First Public Performance
The idea for the National Orchestra began with a simple goal: to celebrate the UAE’s rich heritage through music.

After over 3,200 candidates from 99 countries applied, a rigorous selection process narrowed it down to 100 talented musicians.
The orchestra is led by Maestro Amine Kouider, an internationally renowned conductor with over 30 years of experience in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. He founded the International Philharmonic Orchestra in Paris and has performed at prestigious venues worldwide.
UAENO’s historic debut performance took place during Eid Al Etihad 54 at the opening of Zayed National Museum, where the musicians performed the UAE national anthem for the very first time in front of a live audience.

In 2026, the orchestra begins its first nationwide tour, bringing the sound of the nation to all major cities across the UAE.
