Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced special extended hours for the Dubai Metro on Sunday, November 10, 2024, to support participants of the highly anticipated Dubai Ride 2024. This metro schedule update aims to ensure easy access for the thousands joining this premier cycling event.

On that day, both the Red and Green Lines will operate from 3 AM until midnight, giving participants plenty of time to arrive and depart conveniently.

Dubai Ride, the region’s largest community cycling event, is back for its fifth year, inviting cyclists of all ages and fitness levels to experience the city from a unique perspective. Riders will gather early, with routes officially opening at 5 AM. The ride kicks off at 6:15 AM and will wrap up by 8 AM, providing an unforgettable morning ride through some of Dubai’s most iconic streets.

Participants can choose from several routes, including a thrilling 12km stretch along Sheikh Zayed Road. The 12km track offers participants the excitement of riding at high speeds, mirroring the dynamic energy of professional cycling events. However, cyclists taking this route should be prepared to maintain a minimum pace of 30km/h. To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, Dubai Ride marshals will be stationed along the way, offering guidance and support throughout.

In a boost for cyclists without their own bikes, Careem, in partnership with Dubai’s RTA, is offering free bike rentals for the participants of Dubai Ride 2024 during the event. This initiative aims to make the Dubai Ride even more accessible to residents and tourists alike.
