Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s brand-new airline, is set to launch before the end of 2025, turning the capital into a major global hub while offering modern comfort with a touch of Saudi culture. The airline is based at King Khalid International Airport and backed by the Public Investment Fund.
The airline will connect over 100 destinations worldwide, with the first flight to London Heathrow expected in late October.
The airline’s fleet will feature more than 200 planes ready to fly across Africa, Asia, and Europe. Riyadh Air’s design features a signature purple palette, inspired by lavender fields and deep night skies, with branding in both Arabic and English and a distinctive “R” logo.
The cabin crew uniforms were designed by Saudi designer Ashi and presented at Haute Couture Week in France. The outfits use luxurious materials like cashmere and velvet, with colours and details inspired by Saudi royal heritage and Arabic calligraphy.
Here’s what passengers can expect when coming onboard of Riyadh Air:
- Business Elite: 4 private suites in the front row, fully flat beds with sliding dividers, mocha gold accents, stone-inspired textures, headrest speakers, and full privacy
- Business Class: 24 seats, mocha gold accents, fully flat beds with sliding dividers
- Premium Economy: 39 seats with head wings, calf rests, extra storage, and entertainment screens
- Economy: 223 seats with adjustable seating and headrests in soothing lavender tones, designed for comfort and space
All cabins include high-speed Wi-Fi, streaming, and gaming options.
Riyadh Air is also bringing local flavours to the skies, with local dates, Saudi coffee, Milaf Cola, and kabsa. For Business Elite, Business Class, and loyalty members, chauffeur-driven transfers in Riyadh will be offered through Blacklane.
