Public holidays in the UAE always come with one small perk drivers look forward to: free parking. Eid Al Adha 2026 will bring a four-day break this year, starting Tuesday, May 26, and authorities in different emirates are now starting to announce their holiday parking rules.

Each emirate sets its own parking exemption periods during Eid holidays, and here are the official confirmations.

Free Parking in Dubai during Eid

RTA confirmed that public parking in the city will be free on May 25-29. This exemption does not apply to multi-storey parking buildings, which will continue to operate with regular parking fees.

Free Parking and No Darb Fees in Abu Dhabi

Q Mobility announced that public parking in the capital will be free on May 25-29. Fees will return on Saturday, May 30. Multi-storey parking buildings will remain paid 24/7, even during the holiday period.

Abu Dhabi also confirmed that Darb toll gates will be free during the Eid holiday, except for newly added Al Qurm and Ghantout. You can read more about these toll gates and their locations here.

Free Parking in Sharjah During Eid Al Adha 2026

Sharjah City Municipality confirmed that public parking in Sharjah will be free from Wednesday, May 27, until the end of Friday, May 29, during the first three days of Eid Al Adha 2026.

The following parking areas are excluded from the free parking period:

  • Zones marked with blue information signboards
  • Parking areas where fees apply during holidays and all days of the week
  • Smart parking spaces in several parts of Sharjah, especially near tourist spots

Four Days of Free Public Parking in Ajman

Drivers in Ajman can park for free from Tuesday, May 26, until the end of Friday, May 29. Paid services resume on Saturday, May 30.
