Dubai’s dining scene just welcomed a new name — Nara Thai Cuisine, a Bangkok-born restaurant now open at One Central. Known for its commitment to authentic Thai flavours and refined presentation, the venue brings a meaningful culinary heritage to the heart of the city.
Founded in 2003 by two female entrepreneurs, Nara Thai was born from the desire to share treasured recipes passed down through their aristocratic Thai families. It has since gained international recognition for the traditional dishes rooted in family legacy, presented with care and quality ingredients.

Nara’s exterior is minimalist and striking — with black walls, a gold logo, and tall windows. Inside, the look is pared-back and contemporary, featuring white walls, green chairs, and grey tables. One of the highlights is the open kitchen window, allowing diners to get a glimpse of the chefs in action.
The menu at Nara Thai Cuisine covers the full range of Thai cooking — from small bites to comforting soups and rich curries. Seafood is the standout here, with dishes like:
- Crispy Fried Sea Bass
- Deep-Fried Sea Bass
- Grilled River Prawns
- Stir-Fried Whole Crab (see below)

Other signature options include:
- Ayutthaya Boat Noodles
- Deep-Fried Pomfret with garlic and chilli
- Tom Yam Goong
- Nara Ice Cream
Each dish stays true to Thailand’s gastronomic traditions, offering guests an experience rooted in flavour and history.
