From road closures to extended metro services, here’s what you need to know to navigate the city with ease and enjoy the night.

NYE 2026 in Dubai: Road Closures on December 31

Major roads near Burj Khalifa will start closing at different times. Here’s what to expect so you can plan your route:

4 PM: Al Asayel Street, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, and Burj Khalifa Street
8 PM: Al Sukook Street
9 PM: Upper Financial Centre Street
11 PM: Sheikh Zayed Road will gradually close between Al Maidaan and Commercial Centre roundabout

Celebrating NYE 2026 in Dubai: Metro Hours & Tram Services

Public transport is your best option on NYE, and non-stop working hours of Dubai public transport will help you get to the celebration zone:

Red and Green Metro lines will run non-stop for 43 hours: from 5 AM on December 31 to midnight on January 2, 2026. Please, note that Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station will close to entry at 5 PM
The tram will operate continuously from 6 AM on December 31 until 1 AM on January 2

Be sure to check your Nol card balance before you head out to avoid any last-minute issues!
