As the summer break ends and school gets back in session, UAE drivers have something to look forward to. A Day Without Accidents, a special initiative by the Ministry of Interior (MOI). Set for August 25, 2025, the goal of the day is to promote road safety, especially with the heavy traffic surge as children return to school.
On August 25, UAE residents are encouraged to be extra cautious on the roads to ensure the safety of school-going children.

To make things even more engaging, the Ministry has introduced an incentive program for drivers who remain violation-free. Drivers who follow all traffic laws on this special day can reduce 4 black points from their driving license.
In order to qualify, drivers need to submit a pledge on the official MOI website and ensure no violations are recorded against them on August 25. If they stay clean, the black points will be automatically deducted by September 15, 2025.

To help drivers stay safe, the Ministry of Interior has also shared some important reminders:
- Wear your seatbelt
- Follow speed limits
- Maintain a safe distance from other vehicles
- Avoid distractions, like using mobile phones
- Give way to emergency vehicles and official convoys
