The UAE has won the right to host the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II Group A after securing 14 votes at the International IIHF Annual Congress in Zurich.
The championship will take place in Al Ain in April 2027 and will mark the first time an event of its kind is hosted in the region.
The UAE’s bid finished ahead of Croatia, which received 11 votes. More details about participating teams and fixtures are expected closer to the championship.
