Dubai is set to welcome a brand-new addition to its events calendar this weekend with the launch of JPEX Entertainment Exhibition (JPEX) — a pop culture festival celebrating anime, gaming, cosplay, and Japanese culture. Taking place from April 25 to 27 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City, the event aims to bring together fans from all backgrounds for three full days of immersive content and community connection.

Unlike most major conventions, JPEX has been independently founded and organised by four young Emiratis, all with a shared love for pop culture. With no corporate sponsorship or event company backing, their goal is to build Dubai’s very own homegrown pop culture festival — one that evolves alongside the city and its community.
