Kindness toward animals is something many people living in the UAE care deeply about. Dubai Municipality is supporting those good intentions with Ehsan Stations, a new initiative for feeding stray animals using smart devices installed across the emirate. The stations rely on an AI-based system that can recognise stray animals and dispense food when needed.
Dubai Municipality plans to install 12 Ehsan Stations across the city. Ten of them will be located in public parks. Instead of food being left in different corners of public spaces, the stations offer a reliable feeding point specifically for stray animals.

The technology can also collect useful data that helps authorities better understand animal activity across the city. At the same time, the initiative promotes recycling and encourages a more sustainable approach to feeding.
It’s also not the only initiative in Dubai focused on caring for animals. You may also remember the Fountains of Mercy project, announced in January 2026, which plans to install 50 drinking fountains for birds and wild animals in both urban areas and desert environments.
Together, these initiatives reflect a simple idea: it doesn’t take much to show kindness, especially to those who share our surroundings.
