Dubai’s coffee scene just got a Japanese twist. Say hello to Kurasu, the Kyoto-born café that’s just opened its doors at Dar Wasl Mall — and it’s already making waves. Visitors are raving about their dirty matcha and matcha latte expresso. And there so much more to explore for coffee lovers!

Kurasu isn’t just another trendy place. It started back in 2013 as an online store in Kyoto, selling beautiful homeware. Over time, it evolved into a coffee hub, now with cafés across Japan. Their Dubai branch is the first in the Middle East, and yes, people are already lining up for it.

At Kurasu Dubai, it’s all about specialty coffee from Kyoto. Whether you’re a casual sipper or a full-on coffee nerd, there’s something here for you. You’ll find carefully brewed pour-overs, smooth espresso drinks, and a minimalist Japanese aesthetic that feels calm and intentional.

The man behind it all, Yozo Otsuki, wanted to bring the Japanese approach to brewing — precise, thoughtful, and rooted in tradition — to people around the world. And he’s not just talking beans. The café also sells Japanese coffee gear for those who want to up their home brew game.
