Paying for parking in Dubai is about to get a lot more convenient. Salik, the company behind Dubai’s toll gates, is teaming up with Parkonic to expand automatic parking payments to more places across the city.

This new system, already working in over 100 locations around the UAE, lets drivers park without tickets, barriers, or payment machines. Instead, the parking fee is taken directly from the driver’s Salik eWallet — no need to tap cards or scan apps. Just drive in, park, and you’re good to go.

Starting next week, 18 new spots in Dubai will be part of this system. Here’s where you’ll be able to use automatic payments soon:

Shopping & Retail Locations

  • Union Coop Al Barsha
  • Union Coop Al Twar
  • Union Coop Al Qouz
  • Union Coop Nad Al Hamar
  • Union Coop Mankhool
  • Union Coop Silicon Oasis
  • Union Coop Umm Suqeim
  • Lulu Al Qusais

Beach & Leisure Destinations

  • Marina Walk
  • Park Islands
  • The Beach JBR
  • West Palm Beach
  • Heera Beach

Residential & Mixed-use Areas

  • Opus Tower (Business Bay)
  • Azure Residence

This move builds on Salik and Parkonic’s broader plan to make city parking quicker and less stressful. The two companies say they’re using smart technology to cut down on time spent at parking meters and make life easier for drivers.

If you’ve parked at places like Central Park or Global Village in Dubai, or The Beach at JBR, you may have already used the system. It’s also active in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Fujairah.
