If you enjoy long lunches or leisurely breakfasts with a stylish twist, there’s good news! tashas, the South African café known for its refined comfort food and relaxed vibe, is opening new branches in Al Ain and Sharjah this May.
If you’ve been to tashas before, you already know people come for the generous portions, relaxed atmosphere, and menu that works for breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, or slow dinners. Every new branch has its own look and feel:
- Al Ain branch opens on May 19. The café features soft neutral colours, natural textures, handmade details, and a custom ceiling installation inspired by Al Ain’s calm surroundings
- Sharjah branch opens on May 20 inside Aljada. The interior design pays tribute to the original Atholl café in Johannesburg
Both new cafés serve the tashas Classic Menu, so you can expect favourites like St Francis breakfast tortilla with scrambled eggs, chilli, and avo, famous Brioche French Toast, Salmon Teriyaki, and Chicken Prego.
Launched in Johannesburg in 2005, tashas has now 38 locations across South Africa, the UAE, and the UK. A new Cafe Sofi from the same group is soon coming to Dubai, so you’ll get another address to explore.
With new locations in Al Ain and Sharjah, more UAE residents can enjoy the signature tashas experience a little closer to home.
