There’s an important UAE highway update you’ll want to be aware of if you're planning to drive between Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah. Starting September 1, part of the E11 highway in Ras Al Khaimah will be closed for the first phase of a major roadworks project. A temporary 2-km road will be built to keep traffic moving safely during the construction period. Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) just hit a major milestone, welcoming a record-breaking 29.4 million passengers in 2024—a massive 28.1% jump from the previous year. A big part of this success comes from Etihad Airways, which flew passengers to over 125 destinations, adding 29 new routes in just one year. Abu Dhabi has presented a new tram service that will make getting around the city even easier. The upcoming tram Line 4 will connect Yas Island to Zayed International Airport. As it was announced, the travel time between these two places will take only 20 minutes. The route will also link major residential areas and popular tourist destinations.
