Talabat Services in Qatar are Resumed after One Week Suspension

Talabat has now resumed its operations in Qatar. The platform had been temporarily suspended by Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry for one week, following concerns that some listings contained inaccurate or misleading information, which reportedly caused confusion and payments without guaranteed service.

The platform is reassuring users that it has implemented new measures to ensure that inaccurate or misleading listings do not happen again.

Last week, on September 10, Talabat was found to have breached Articles 7 and 11 of Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection, along with its executive regulations.

For residents and visitors, it’s worth noting another key regulation in Qatar: most offline businesses are required to close for Friday prayers. Make sure to check out the full list of exceptions and details before planning your weekend errands.
