Dubai has opened a new 1,210-meter-long, three-lane bridge to ease traffic between Infinity Bridge and Sheikh Rashid Road. The bridge, part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project, can handle up to 4,800 vehicles per hour, reducing congestion in one of the city’s busiest areas.

The map below visually tracks the progress of the project: green indicates bridges that are already operational, purple highlights the newly launched 3-lane bridge from Al Mina Street to Sheikh Rashid Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street, and blue shows the bridges still under development.

Once all five bridges of Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project are complete, they will have a combined capacity of 19,400 vehicles per hour, significantly improving connectivity across key neighborhoods like Al Hudaiba, Al Raffa, Al Jafiliya, Al Mankhool, Al Kifaf, and Al Karama.

According to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), 90% of Phase 4 is already finished, with two more bridges set to open later this year. The entire project is expected to benefit around one million residents, cutting travel time in the area from 104 minutes to just 16 minutes by 2030.
