The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has just completed two new bridges at Dubai World Trade Centre Roundabout as part of an ongoing development project aimed at improving traffic flow in the area.

Thanks to this, travel times from 2nd December Street to nearby routes like Al Majlis Street and Zabeel Palace Street have dropped from 10 minutes to just two.

The RTA is planning to open three more bridges in the future to further improve traffic flow in this busy part of the city. You can check the map of the area with new bridges marked in green.

Each of the new bridges at Dubai World Trade Centre Roundabout has four lanes and can accommodate up to 6,000 vehicles per hour.

This is just one of the many efforts to ensure Dubai’s transport infrastructure keeps pace with its rapid growth. Recently, the RTA also launched the pilot phase of a project using drones to clean traffic signals. If you’re driving regularly around the city, you may soon spot them during your commute.

Stay tuned for more updates as Dubai continues to improve its infrastructure and make daily commuting more efficient.
