Dubai just stepped into the future with the launch of WeRide Robotaxi, now available via Uber app. As of December 11, you can book a robotaxi in two of the city’s most popular areas – Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah, both known for their scenic beaches.
At this stage, the service still has a driver onboard, but it’s all about testing the waters. The goal is to roll out fully autonomous rides by early 2026. It’s a great chance to experience this innovative transport option ahead of time.
To try it, open your Uber app, select the ‘Autonomous’ service option, and get ready for a futuristic ride. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, everyone can hop in and get a taste of the future of travel.
