Got shopping plans ahead? Why not do it at Zayed International Airport (AUH)? No flight required. For the next eight weeks, UAE citizens and residents can enter the airport without a boarding pass and spend time inside like a traveler.
If you’re curious to try it, here’s how to book your visit and get through the security gates:
- Register in advance to receive a digital security pass (PDF with a QR code)
- Book a time slot before arriving
- Show the pass at checkpoints, shops, and exit points
Once you’re in, you can move through areas that are usually off-limits unless you’re flying, including shops and restaurants.

- Anyone under 18 must be with an adult
- Laptops and tablets are not allowed inside
- Tobacco and alcohol are not sold during the visit
