Sven Väth is a German electronic music producer and one of the key figures in the European techno scene. The DJ Sven Väth began his career in the early 1980s and became closely connected with Frankfurt club culture. His real name is Sven Väth, and his nationality is German. Over more than four decades behind the decks, he has built a reputation for long vinyl DJ sets and a constantly evolving approach to electronic music.

The genre most closely associated with the artist is techno, although his career has also explored trance, ambient techno, tech house and other electronic styles. Sven Väth first reached wider recognition as part of OFF before establishing a successful solo career. He later co-founded the influential Omen club in Frankfurt and launched Cocoon, which developed into a record label, event brand and international platform for electronic music.
