Soul Kinda Wonderful are one of the world’s top tribute bands, travelling the world in celebration of the music of Ben E. King, The Tempations, The Drifters and many more from the soul and motown era.
Brought together over two decades ago, the band are widely recognised as one of the best tribute acts in the industry. The group includes Ritchie Sampson, who has performed alongside numerous soul legends including Ray Lewis, Billy Lewis, Peter Lamar, and was also the frontman for The Foundations, one of the first British soul bands; Paul Anthony and Roy Bailey, who were part of the original Ray Lewis group; Victor Alexander, who performed with Johnny Johnson & The Vagabonds and the writer of the number one hit ‘Return of the Mack’, Mark Morrison.
The band have travelled the world, entertaining thousands of fans of the Soul and Motown era, putting their own twist on 70s classics such as Build Me Up Buttercup, Kissing in the Backrow of the Movies, Stand By Me, Under the Boardwalk, My Girl, You to Me Are Everything, I Can’t Get By Without You and Disco Inferno, as well as numerous other hits.
Soul Kinda Wonderful were formally recognised as one of the world’s best tribute acts in 2013 when they were voted the No. 1 Tribute to The Drifters at the NTA Awards by the Agency’s Association of Great Britain.
