South African comedian and host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, is rapidly becoming one of the world’s top names in comedy satire. Having burst onto the world scene in 2012 through an appearance on The Tonight Show, he won the affection of people around the world with his quick wit, lively characters and strong observations.

At 18, Noah’s career was taking shape in his home city of Johannesburg. He hosted his own radio show on the region’s top youth station before moving more to comedy and working with top comedians such as Gabriel Iglesias and Russell Peters on their South African tours.

He continued his work in South Africa, performing on Strictly Come Dancing and hosting the 3rd South Africa Film and Television Awards. Noah also performed his stand-up comedy routines all over the country as part of The Blacks Only Comedy Show, the Heavyweight Comedy Jam and at several comedy festivals.

2011 saw Noah make a move to the USA where he booked several performances on late night shows and starring in his comedy show ‘Trevor Noah: The Racist’. During this time Noah also made several appearances on UK TV shows such as QI and 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Having worked as a contributor on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show he was selected in 2015 to replace the long-running host from September. As the host of The Daily Show, Noah has addressed numerous political and cultural issues and has received widespread praise from many people.
