Avicii is one of the leading names in electronic dance music. Having stolen headlines with his 2011 track ‘Levels’, Avicii has headlined festivals across the globe and has topped charts in Europe and the USA.
Having begun producing music in 2007, Avicii first popped up onto Europe’s dance music radar in 2010 with ‘Seek Bromance’, charting highly in the UK, Netherlands and Sweden. He again became highly supported by fellow DJs for his remix of Nadia Ali’s ‘Rapture’ before signing with EMI Music.
Avicii achieved astronomical success with his 2011 Grammy-nominated track ‘Levels’, entering the Top Ten in charts across Europe and being certified Platinum multiple times in the process. The track went on to become one of the leading songs in dance music that Summer, as did ‘I Could Be the One’ featuring Nicky Romero in 2012.
Further chart success came with ‘Wake Me Up’ when Avicii collaborated with Aloe Blacc. The track was an instant hit, topping charts in the UK, Sweden, Australia and many others and peaking at Number Four in the US. The single was the lead from his debut album, True, which also included ‘Hey Brother’, another chart-topping success. Avicii’s second album, ‘Stories’, was another success and included Top Ten hits ‘Waiting for Love’, ‘For a Better Day’ and ‘Broken Arrows’.
As a DJ, Avicii is known for his energetic live sets and larger-than-life productions. Having been active since 2008, Avicii has headlined many of dance music’s top festivals including Tomorrowland in Belgium, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival in Miami as well as performances at many of the industry’s leading nightclubs including Pacha and Ushuaia in Ibiza.
