Biography & Career:
Stryv is a Pakistani-American producer, DJ, and songwriter whose real name is Hamid Bashir. Born in Pakistan in 1998, the family moved to New York when he was two years old, and he grew up in Queens, where early life was centered around the local mosque rather than music. By middle school, however, music had taken hold, and what started as a curiosity quickly turned into a serious pursuit of production. Now based in Los Angeles, Stryv has built a career that spans pop, Afrobeats, and dance music, working with some of the biggest names in the industry before stepping into the spotlight as a solo DJ act.

The Stryv DJ project grew out of years of behind-the-scenes work as a producer. Credits include tracks on Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's Vultures 1, the hit Spicy Margarita for Jason Derulo and Michael Bublé, as well as productions for Ava Max, Rita Ora, CKay, and Galantis. The connection to Keinemusik came through that very work — a label rep spotted the Vultures credit and reached out, leading to a collaboration with Adam Port that would change everything. The resulting track Move, released in June 2024, went viral almost instantly, earned platinum status, and received a high-profile remix featuring Camila Cabello, racking up over 140 million views on YouTube. A nomination for Top Afrobeats Song of the Year at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards followed, along with a standout performance at Circoloco's event at the Pyramids of Giza.
