Meera Nandan is an Indian actress, radio jockey, and television host who works primarily in Malayalam cinema while also appearing in Tamil movies and Telugu films. Born as Meera Nandakumar in Elamakkara, Kochi, Kerala, the family background is rooted in the city — the father is Nandakumar and the mother is Maya, and she has a younger brother, Arjun Nandakumar. The parents supported early ambitions, which originally pointed toward journalism before the camera took over. She is distantly related to actress and classical dancer Divya Unni.

The career began in front of the television camera in 2007 as an anchor for the reality show Idea Star Singer on Asianet. The film debut came in 2008 with the hit Malayalam film Mulla, directed by Lal Jose — a strong start that earned a Filmfare Awards South Best Female Debut nomination. The films that followed across malayalam, tamil movies, and Telugu productions built a diverse body of work of over 40 movies. Notable films include Puthiya Mukham, Kerala Cafe, Black Forest — which won the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation — and the medical thriller Apothecary.
