Neha Kakkar



Indian singer Neha Kakkar has established herself as a name in Bollywood as one of the top singers in the business. Following her participation in the 2006 season of Indian Idol she rose to fame and gained the moniker ‘Indian Shakira’ and launched her album ‘Neha The Rock Star’ in 2008, which also featured music from the Meet brothers.

Raised in Delhi she is the sister of singers Tony and Sonu Kakkar, she started singing at the age of 4 at various family and religious events and has used her musical family roots to her advantage, featuring as the title singer on a number of hugely popular Bollywood films. 

Her debut film credit came in 2009 with prison drama ‘Jail’. Following which she went on to sing Bollywood blockbusters including Kay Gayi Chull, Sunny Sunny - with Yo Yo Honey Singh, Manali Trance, Akkad Bakkad and many more.

Her career has continued to flourish through her YouTube channel, most notably when she dedicated a song to Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. She also sang the national anthem at the Pro Kabaddi League alongside Daler Mehndi and Rahul Ram from the Indian Ocean band.
