Hailing from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Zakir was raised in a rajasthani Muslim family deeply rooted in the tradition of classical music, with his grandfather being the renowned Sarangi Maestro Ustad Moinuddin Khan. While he spent a significant part of his adult life in Delhi, Zakir Khan comes from a humble background and attributes his father for being incredibly supportive of his talent.  

He began his journey in the entertainment industry by participating in a local comedy competition, which eventually led him to win the title of 'India's Best Stand-Up Comedian' in 2012. Since then, he has been on a remarkable rise, captivating audiences across the country and abroad.
