Wynn Resorts has made history by obtaining the UAE’s very first commercial gaming license, issued by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). This major milestone means that Wynn Al Marjan Island will make history as the first entertainment resort with a casino to open in the beginning of 2027 in the region.
Wynn takes pride in its grand scale projects, and this one is no exception. CEO Craig Billings has shared that the new property of the company at Al Marjan Island will be way larger than their famous gaming mecca in Las Vegas, USA. As it was revealed, the project includes the construction of a tower rising 300 meters above sea level. For comparison, Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah is only 240 meters, meaning Wynn Al Marjan’s panoramic views are sure to be breathtaking. The resort promises to turn into an elegant retreat for travelers seeking luxury with its 1,540+ lavish rooms and suites and 22 private villas.
Entertainment options at Wynn Al Marjan Island is designed to captivate guests from all angles. Beyond the casino, the resort will offer live performances in a custom-built theater, daily light and laser shows, and indulgent wellness treatments at its luxurious spa. Alongside top-tier shopping, Wynn aims to create a comprehensive destination where excitement and relaxation blend seamlessly.
No luxury resort is complete without world-class dining, and Wynn Al Marjan won’t disappoint. Although specific restaurants haven’t been revealed yet, the plan includes 22 dining and lounge experiences. Wynn’s properties are known for their culinary excellence, with Las Vegas establishments like Cipriani and SW Steakhouse drawing food lovers from around the world. It’s likely we’ll see some of these celebrated eateries make their way to the UAE, adding to the island’s appeal as a culinary hub.
As the grand opening approaches, there are hopes that Wynn Al Marjan Island will set new standards for luxury hospitality and entertainment in the region, blending the brand’s iconic Las Vegas traditions with cutting-edge amenities and design tailored to the UAE.
