How UAE Petrol Prices Are Set
Fuel prices in the UAE are reviewed and updated at the end of each month by the government through Emarat. Since 2015, local fuel prices have been tied to global oil market trends, meaning they fluctuate based on international rates.
In December 2024, UAE fuel prices hit their lowest levels of the year and remained unchanged in January 2025. However, they increased in February before seeing this small drop in March.

A year ago, petrol prices were significantly higher. Here’s how they looked in March 2024:
- Super 98 – AED 3.03 per litre
- Special 95 – AED 2.92 per litre
- E-Plus 91 – AED 2.85 per litre
- Diesel – AED 3.16 per litre
Fuel prices are expected to keep shifting based on global oil trends, so check back next month for the latest rates.
