A new destination for design and dining has opened its doors in Abu Dhabi. Café Ginori, the first of its kind in the Middle East, has launched at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, bringing with it a refined blend of Italian artistry, heritage, and culinary tradition.

The café is a tribute to Ginori 1735, the historic porcelain brand that was founded in Doccia, Tuscany in 1753 by Marquis Carlo Ginori. Known for fusing Italian craftsmanship with timeless design, the brand’s legacy lives on through porcelain pieces that turn everyday rituals like dining into elevated experiences.

The interiors have been curated with pieces from the Domus home décor collection, featuring fabric cushions in Ondori Azalea, floral-toned wallpaper, and elegant design details that reflect the heritage of both The St. Regis and Ginori 1735.

Café Ginori doubles as a retail space, where visitors can browse and purchase from the brand’s signature collections, such as Oriente Italiano, Labirinto, Il Viaggio di Nettuno, and Diva. Porcelain from these collections is used to serve a thoughtfully prepared Italian-style menu, which includes:

  • Eggplant Parmigiana – layers of eggplant with tomato and melted cheese
  • Panzanella – a Tuscan bread salad with tomatoes and olive oil
  • Truffle Arancini – crispy risotto balls with truffle
  • Vitello Tonnato – chilled sliced veal with a creamy tuna sauce

For dessert, the café offers a refined selection of classic Italian sweets. Guests can finish their meal with Cannoli filled with sweet ricotta, a traditional Ricotta Tart, flaky Sfogliatella, or the ever-popular Tiramisu. The afternoon tea at The St. Regis, already known for its elegance, is now served on Ginori porcelain — making it a true highlight for both design and food lovers.

Located with views of the serene Saadiyat Island waters, Café Ginori offers a calm, cultured escape that brings the beauty of Italian porcelain and cuisine to the UAE.
