Dubai just got a lot more fun for young foodies. Bright Bites, launched by Majid Al Futtaim, is the world’s first supermarket built entirely for kids. It’s designed to make healthy eating exciting, educational, and interactive, giving children a chance to learn about nutrition while shopping and playing.

The idea behind Bright Bites is simple: kids who eat better feel better and do better. The programme puts children at the centre of their food journey and encourages smarter food choices through the evidence-backed “Pick Your Five” system, which helps them select balanced meals.

Here are 3 concepts of Bright Bites:

  • Kids Supermarket

A gamified grocery store for children aged 4-11. Kids can shop independently, unlock educational games, track progress on leaderboards, and explore five key stations based on the Pick Your Five system. Just like any other supermarket, Bright Bites doesn’t require tickets: entry is free!

  • Bright Bites Academy

A community hub for kids, parents, teachers, and caregivers. Workshops, cooking classes, and hands-on activities make learning about nutrition fun and interactive.

  • School Programme

Designed for classrooms across the UAE, this curriculum uses gamification and practical tools to teach healthy eating. Lesson plans, activity guides, and support resources are included for teachers.

Bright Bites is available at Carrefour, Mall of the Emirates, with select products also offered across other Carrefour stores in Dubai.
